I am interested in the impact of climate change on global vegetation patterns and ecosystem health.
My research explores the impact of climate change on biogeochemical cycles, primarily the terrestrial carbon cycle but also other fluxes such as isoprene emission and hydrogen uptake. Other recent work has focused on the role of fires and water stress in ecosystem health and currently I am looking at the impact of diffuse radiation on plant productivity. I use and develop dynamic vegetation models, specifically LPJ, and am increasingly interested in confronting our understanding of vegetation processes with satellite observations. I am also keenly ...
