These days, my research is focused on the impact that changing climate will have on global ecosystem patterns and the implications of those changes for biodiversity and the carbon cycle.
In the last decade, I have used and developed dynamic vegetation models, especially LPJ, to explore biogeochemical fluxes between the atmosphere and the terrestrial biosphere focusing on the terrestrial carbon cycle which remains the most weakly constrained element of the global carbon cycle.
