Research summary

My research pivots around the interplay between rocks, plants, and water in determining the composition and the architecture of the Earth's surface. To understand these processes, I follow the critical zone conceptual framework and use a variety of geochemical tools, including stable isotopes, conservative elements and rare earth elements.

Currently, I am focusing on weathering processes in the tropics, specifically on the relative importance of biological vs geochemical processes in cation cycling, for which I use Mg isotopes as my tracer.
