The purpose of this project is primarily to augment the pre-launch research being done for the 2016 InSIGHT mission to Mars. Our team is currently working on modelling the level of seismic activity on Mars as well as carrying out experiments designed to test the performance of the microseismometer which is to be part of the InSIGHT payload and estimate level of attenuation to be expected on the Martain surface.
