Research summary

My research is in the field of very low-grade metamorphism, and aims to establish if geochemical and mineralogical changes at low temperatures – in the range 100- 300°C – can be understood in terms of equilibrium order and/or kinetically-controlled reaction progress.

Identifying the character of the controlling process will help to elucidate crustal development occurring in the continental and oceanic rocks in the outer zones of orogenic belts.
