Research summary

I have a very broad research interest and have been able to work across a great breadth of fields, ranging from deep-sea ecology, to paleao-biology, to neuroscience. I am originally a Zoologist, turned Marine Ecologist, but my love for numbers got me involved in some very interesting projects involving physiology, modern and paleo foraminifera and a clinical trial on stroke rehabilitation. Biography

I graduated with a Bsc(Hons) in Zoology from the University of Aberdeen. After volunterring a year in Oceanlab (Aberdeen) as research assistant that included a 6-week offshore cruise, I decided to pursue a carreer in deep-sea ecology. I graduated with a PhD in 2012, having specialised in benthic invertebrate ecology. During my PhD I trained in numerous surveying methods, including trawling, ROV surveying and coring.
