Dr Patricia Neville

Dr Neville currently teaches 5 courses:

I contribute to the teaching of the Personal and Professional Development section of the BDS course. As a sociologist, I am particularly interested in teaching a sociological perspective to understanding oral health, both as an individual health behaviour as well as a social phenomenon. I have extensive experience of teaching sociology and social science to undergraduate and postgraduate students.

I have also supervised undergraduate projects and postgraduate dissertations on a variety of topics.

I would welcome students who are interested in pursing research on: the sociology of health and oral health, the media and oral health, gender and oral health, and community based/public health initiatives
