Whilst clinically training with particular focus on uveitis and retina, I am continuing my research as a National Institute for Health Research funded clinician scientist and investigating the immunology of age-related macular degeneration.

My research work is directed at revealing immune-mediated mechanisms in age-related macular degeneration to provide novel therapeutic targets. In 2016, I was awarded the Global Ophthalmology Research Award from Bayer.
