I'm researching the role of angioneurins in dementia.
In particular I'm focusing on vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and its receptors in Alzheimer's Disease and vascular dementia.
My work is carried out using human brain tissue from the South West Dementia Brain Bank and neuronal cell models. I use molecular biology and histological techniques to quantify and identify the location of proteins I'm interested in.

Supervised by Dr Shelley Allen-Birt and and Professor Seth Love.
