Biography

 

Dr Nabil Jarad is a Consultant Respiratory Physician – Bristol Royal Infirmary and Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Bristol University.  
Dr Jarad did his research at the London Chest Hospital and Brompton Hospital, London and was awarded a PhD in Respiratory Medicine from the Imperial College, London University.  
He trained at the London Chest Hospital, Royal London Hospital, St Bartholomew’s Hospital, Whipps Cross hospital and the Royal Free Hospital, London.  
His areas of interest are: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, cystic fibrosis,   Bronchiectasis and Occupational Lung Disease.  
Dr Jarad  has occupied several roles including the Secretary of the Research Committee of the British Thoracic Society, Clinical Director of the Cystic Fibrosis Southwest Network, Programme Director and Chair of the Southwest General and Acute Medicine Training Committee, and Chair of the Committee of Physicians-Bristol Royal Infirmary. 
He is the Southwest Regional Advisor for the Royal College of Physicians, the President Elect of the Bristol Medico-chirurgical Society and the current lead for COPD and bronchiectasis.
He has over 35 original manuscripts and over 100 abstract presentations, several book chapters and leading articles on, cystic fibrosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease occupational lung disease, and tuberculosis.

He published several book chapters and leading articles as well as original publications on, cystic fibrosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease occupational lung disease, and tuberculosis.
