Anne moved to Bristol in 2003 to take on the role of Neuroscience Research Facilitator and develop Bristol Neuroscience, a new initiative to bring together all aspects of neuroscience research and clinical practice in the University of Bristol and associated NHS Trusts.   In 2011 she became Research Development Associate in RED.  Her specific responsibilities are to provide Facilitator support for both Bristol Neuroscience and the Bristol Heart Institute, assisting both to achieve their strategic aims.  This entails everything from running workshops to website design, developing collaborative projects, doing public engagement, and helping build relationships with funders and other Universities.   Her background is in neuroscience - she gained MA (Cantab) and PhD in Cambridge before doing postdoctoral research at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular of Biology.  She has also worked in hospital pathology labs, and produced and edited The Bulletin for the British Neuroscience Association.  Plus been a freelance illustrator, factory worker, and kennel maid!
