I am interested in the flow of gases in urban environments, and use perfluorocarbon trace gas releases to map the passage of air in urban cities. These are collected in bags for lab analysis using gas chromatography.

I am also interested in atmospheric electricity and have run campaigns measuring the atmospheric potential gradient.

I came to Bristol University in January 2006 to start a PhD, having studied a BSc in physics and music and an MSc in electronic engineering at Cardiff University. I also drink a lot of tea.
