  • Ecology and population biology of mammals, and particularly the management of mammal populations.
  • Ecology and control of wildlife diseases, especially rabies and bovine tuberculosis.
  • Resource utilisation, habitat partitioning and niche overlap in herbivore communities.
  • The social organisation of carnivore populations, especially current theories on the evolution of mammal social systems.
  • Other areas of applied and theoretical mammalogy.
