Biography
I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Plymouth in 2009 studying honours Marine Biology. My final year honours project was conducted on the sediment preference of the juvenile cuttlefish Sepia officinalis. This project looked at the individual preference of cuttlefish to eliciting particular body patterns and choosing specific sediments patterns on which to settle. Along with the effect that predator presence had on the animals.
After university I spent some time as a PADI scuba diving instructor followed by work as and aquarist at the Bristol aquarium before beginning my MSc on the impact of anthropogenic noise on marine invertebrates in 2011 under the supervision of Dr Andrew Radford.
My main interest is in the behavioural ecology of marine invertebrates with particular interest in that of cephalopods and crustaceans. Aswell as many aspects of thier physiology and morphology which have been adapted to thier environment.
