This is the skeleton of a seven feet long Nile Crocodile that was resident at Bristol Zoo for many years. The Crocodile mysteriously died and was taken for post-mortem examination at the University’s Veterinary School at Langford. No cause was of death was deduced, but a total of thirty seven pence was found in the Crocodile’s stomach! The body was returned to the Pre-Clinical Veterinary School on Southwell Street for preparation, where the skeleton has been mounted and put on display in the Veterinary Anatomy Museum.
