Areas of expertise |
My expertise lies in the development of hydraulic models for flood prediction, and the use of Remotely Sensed data to parameterise, calibrate and validate such codes. In undertaking such research I also develop new methods that describe uncertainty in such model output and use these methods to produce maps of flood risk.
I am also involved in modelling studies for flood warning, and in particular have over the last three years been involved in developing a prototype European Flood Forecasting System.
