Areas of expertise |
My research interests are primarily in animal vision and colouration, particularly from an optical physics point of view.
I use classical optics to answer biological questions, mainly regarding eyes and photoreceptors. Most of my work concerns general optical principles in the vertebrate retina, although I'm widely interested in how organisms interact with light.
