Areas of expertise |
I am interested in the fabrication, modelling and measurement of nanophotonic devices for applications ranging from biochemical lab-on-a-chip sensors to quantum information processing. I'm particularly interested in periodic structures known as Photonic Crystals and their application in nanolasers, high Q cavities, LEDs and solar cells.
I am also developing radio-over-fibre systems where planar antennas are integrated with high speed laser diodes for wireless applications.
