Areas of expertise |
I have an interest in a variety of human health research topics and my area of expertise is setting up, conducting and managing large scale clinical trials to a successful conclusion. I am interested in clinical trial methodology and research to improve their conduct and the experiences of those who participate. My current work is based in Toulouse, France where I manage a national clinical trial investigating a colorectal cancer screening programme in primary care. I continue to collaborate with University of Bristol colleagues from my previous projects. These include a feasibility study to improve drug treatment in sex-workers, a large programme of research on children’s RTIs and antibiotic use, a clinical trial investigating the prevention of fragility fractures in older women and a trial for the relief of fever in young children, amongst other work with primary care and research colleagues.
