Areas of expertise |
My research centres on earthquake processes and seismic hazard and risk assessment. My goals are to better understand earthquake physics and to improve estimates of seismic hazard and risk, including uncertainty quantification. I use a combination of physical and stochastic numerical modeling of earthquake processes that I confront with seismological observations. I am particularly interested in better understanding the mechanisms by which earthquakes trigger other earthquakes. More generally, I am interested in model validation
