Areas of expertise |
I am a chartered physiotherapist and work part-time as a research assistant for the Bristol Knee Group. I joined the Orthopaedic research team in October 2009 and I am investigating the long-term outcome and rate of revision following Total Knee Replacement (TKR), Unicompartmental Knee Replacement (UKR), and the Avon Patella Knee Replacement surgery. I am also interested in the benefits of minimally invasive techniques in knee replacement. My PhD was on the effects of pain and mechanical loading on the sensorimotor function of the cervical spine and I have a keen interest in motor control.
