Areas of expertise |
I joined the Hadley Centre for Adoption and Foster Care Studies in the School for Policy Studies in April 2007.
Before joining the university, I successfully completed a project commissioned by the Ministry of Health in Sri Lanka to standardise a developmental screening test for infants and pre-schoolers. Based on the results of my study, in May 2007, a policy decision was taken by the government of Sri Lanka to introduce the standardised test at national level to the primary health care system as a developmental screening test for infants and pre-schoolers in Sri Lanka.
I am currently working on a study examining the pathways to permanence for Black, Asian and Mixed parentage children in the care system.
