| Areas of expertise | My research interests involve applied health services research, principally in a primary care setting, over a variety of substantive areas - in particular, mental health, obstetrics, cardiovascular disease and urology. In addition, I am active in various areas of methodological research, generally focussing on randomised trials and particularly on subgroup analyses and cluster randomised trials. My achievements include numerous research grants from competitive sources of research funding in health-related research and papers in major international peer-reviewed journals - including the winners of the RCGP/Boots the Chemists Research Paper of the Year Award in 2000 and 2003. |
