My research and publications have mainly been in the field of Special and Inclusive Education, with a specific focus on the inclusion of pupils who experience Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD). I am currently engaged in doctoral-research exploring the ways that teachers learn to teach pupils who experience SEBD. In addition to PhD research I have been involved in a number of research projects, including commissioned research for a Local Authority in the South West, small-scale internally funded projects investigating the implementation of government materials in schools, and a collaborative project with schools and teacher researchers, attracting funding from the DCSF.
