| Areas of expertise | My principle research interests are in gender, the family, and migration, particularly in the field of cross-border marriages. I have carried out ethnographic research on Pakistani transnational marriages and I have broader interests in South Asia and its diasporas, and in ethnicity and transnationalism. I have also worked on Scottish graduate migration and retention. I am currently developing further research on marriage-related migration to Britain. |
