Areas of expertise |
My principal research area is the pathophysiology and prevention of vein graft failure, in particular the role of reactive oxygen species, angiogenesis and impact of risk factors (diabetes, homocysteine and copper). To this end I have developed interventions that pharmacological agents and prosthetic external sheaths. Another area of research is that of the pathophysiology and prevention of pulmonary arterial disease, again with an emphasis on oxidative stress.
