Areas of expertise |
The adaptive control of general dynamic systems, from fundamental theoretical analysis and synthesis, through to the implementation of practical computer-controlled systems. This is closely linked with my work on dynamically substructured systems, an advanced testing technique for dynamical systems. I work extensively with colleagues from overseas, especially from Japan, on the adaptive control of earthquake simulators, servohydraulic systems, vibration suppression systems, etc.
