An expert in international and European labour law and human rights, as well as UK employment law, I teach courses on all these subjects at undergraduate and masters level.
I have written on UK collective industrial relations, international labour standards, treatment of socio-economic rights within the Council of Europe and most recently on the external relations policy of the European Union.
My first book, written together with a colleague Paul Skidmore, was 'Fairness at Work: A Critical Analysis of the Employment Relations Act 1999 and its Treatment of Collective Rights'.
My most recent book, published by Oxford University Press, is titled 'International and European Protection of the Right to Strike'. It consists of a comparative study of standards set by the International Labour Organisation, the Council of Europe and the European Union
