Areas of expertise |
My research interests cover a broad range of topics around the theme of children and families. I am currently working on an ESRC-funded project on fertility outcomes and housing transitions. Previous work was on the mechanisms linking early socioeconomic disadvantage and children's cognitive and socio-emotional development, and the influence of the policy environment in different countries and time periods on social mobility.
Last year, I worked on a project funded by a grant from the Joseph Rowntree Foundation which looks at the role of beliefs, behaviours and attitudes in educational attainment.
