I have been the Director of the Bristol Paediatric Simulation Programme since 2007 and together with key faculty I have developed the programme to one of the leading Paediatric Simulation Programmes internationally. It is the only programme in the UK to train cardiac surgical teams using cutting edge simulation technology to simulate cardiopulmonary bypass.
I was recently appointed Chair of the Bristol Medical Simulation Centre Steering Committee.
My simulation interests are: Human Factors and team training to improve performance of highly specialized teams leading to improved patient safety. Faculty training and development. Curriculum development, particularly in situ curricula. Furthering international collaboration and research.
