Areas of expertise |
I am a member of the Nanophysics and Soft Matter Group.
My research in the field of nano-optics is directed towards actively controlling and playing with physical and optical processes at nanometer length. This fascination is driven by the fact that as we move to smaller and smaller length-scales the underlying physical laws change from macroscopic to microscopic. My expertise lies in the combination of optics with scanning probe techniques directed at single molecule spectroscopy, photonic crystals and plasmonics both under ambient and UHV conditions.
