Areas of expertise |
My research is mainly on how viruses take over a host cell in order to maximise the efficient replication of the virus. In pursuit of this we are using both deep sequencing (or next-generation sequencing) of mRNA and high throughput quantitative proteomics to study how this virus affects host cells.

Media experience |
I acted as a scientific consultant to the BBC drama series Survivors.
