| Areas of expertise | I work primarily in moral philosophy, and I have published on topics in metaethics, moral theory and applied ethics, in particular on sexual morality. I also have extensive interests in the history of philosophy, especially the work of Augustine, Kant, Schopenhauer and Nietzsche. During the academic year 2006-2007 I was awarded AHRC funded Research Leave, to work on a project entitled 'Kant's Moral Psychology of the Will'. I am currently working on two books, one on philosophy and sex, which will appear in 2009, and one on Kant on wrong-doing and evil. |
