Areas of expertise |
My primary areas of expertise are philosophy of science and philosophy of biology, with special emphasis on evolutionary theory. I am also interested in epistemology and metaphysics, philosophy of mind/psychology, and decision and game theory.
I am the author of two books: Evolution and the Levels of Selection, OUP 2006, and Philosophy of Science: a very short introduction, OUP 2002.
My current research focuses on the relationship between evolutionary theory and rational choice theory, with special reference to the problem of co-operation.
