| Areas of expertise | My doctoral thesis and first book focused on the ways German authors have used the child's perspective to write about the Third Reich. I have subsequently worked on representations of childhood in the former GDR, and on the way the former socialist state is remembered in unified Germany, particularly in literature and film. I am currently interested in what the 'Brexit' vote says specifically about Anglo-German relations. |
