NAS Befriending

The National Autistic Society runs this project. You will be helping autistic children through
their isolation by spending time with them within their family home or on
outings. Weekly commitment of 3 hours for
1 academic year

Meeting with adults
with autism or Asperger’s syndrome in a local pub to chat and have a
drink. This helps otherwise isolated
people to enjoy a safe social environment.

Taking teenagers and
young adults with learning difficulties on weekend or day trips, e.g. youth
hostelling, educational visits, holiday camps.
