Medication Matters is a research project that finished in November 2004.
It focused on psychotropic medications.
These are tablets, medicines or injections that are given to help with a person's thoughts, moods or feelings.
Or sometimes they are given to help people with their behaviour.
The aim of the project has been to find out:
- What people understand about the reasons psychotropic
medication is prescribed for a person with learning difficulties
- What people know about the medication and what it does.
