エスター・ダーモット

英国ブリストル大学社会学・政治学・国際学学科准教授。研究文野は、親密性と家族生活・仕事、貧困と不平等。エスター・ダーモット氏の本『親密な父性』（Routledge 、2008）は、ブレッド・ウィニング理想に対する支配的な理念に挑戦し、「親密な父性」の上昇を主張し、男性の子育てを考える新たな枠組みを創立する。編集した『家族を見せる：新しい家族社会学』(ジュリー・シーモア共著)（Palgrave、2011）は、現在の研究テーマである個人・家族生活の理論化について調べる。その研究では信用性の意義とファミリー・プラスティスにおけるオーディエンスにフォーカスしている。最近の著書は、子育てと貧困の関係、仕事と生活のバランスについて解説しており、また子育ての常識、子育てに関する政治的・政策的な考え方についても問いただす。
