Areas of expertise I am an applied epidemiologist and mathematical modeller. I have worked on analysing the impact of health interventions using various approaches, including user friendly tools for commissioners to understand the costs and impacts of chlamydia screening and developing complex models.

Current research interests also includes molecular epidemiology of zoonoses and antimicrobial resistance (AMR), especially with new whole genome sequence technology

I work with public health professionals, clinicians and commissioners to understand the problems they have in controlling infectious diseases. I provide an expert link between real-world clinical problems and mathematical/computational modelling, statistical analysis and large dataset evaluation approaches.
Media experience I am associate editor for STI journal (BMJ group) and regularly contribute podcasts for the website.
