Prior to commencing specialist training in Cardiology I undertook a period of research studying novel treatment strategies to prevent re-narrowing of stented coronaries and bypass grafts, culminating in the award of an MD. My specialist training was undertaken in the South West and an international interventional fellowship was completed in the world renowned Greenlane Cardiovascular Unit in Auckland, New Zealand.
