Lifesaving competitions occur throughout the academic year and are hosted by various universities. These competitions are organised by BULSCA and involve first aid in the form of simulated emergency response scenarios (SERCS), as well as swimming competitions. You enter within teams of 4 so they're great fun and cater for a whole range of abilities.
The club pays the competition entry fees and some of the travel costs. Dinner and accommodation is provided and there is an epic social on the Saturday night. It's always a fun weekend, we've been to St. Andrews in Scotland, London, Birmingham, that's just to name a few.
