Welcome to the world of the magnificent people who make Bristol Cross Country and Athletics what it is!

Keith Brackstone- Coach
Keith is an integral part of the club, leading training on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and helping with races. Always available to dispense advise on a wide range of reggae, soul and motown.

Steve Francis- Captain
This year Steve has moved from the position of treasurer to club captain. With a string of PB’s at the tail end of last season Steve is looking to again improve his running in his final year with the club. He is also hoping a fresher will join this year who is terrible at connect 4 to alleviate the shame of being so bad himself!

Mark Haworth- Vice-Captain
The man who last year provided the fantastic late-night emails and responsible for our gripping race reports. This year he's taken on the responsibility of vice captain. It has been said that with his passion for cooking, fantastic good looks and easy going, friendly personality nature he may be the perfect catch.

It was possibly a mistake to let a compulsive liar write his own description!

Andy White- Former Captain
Our former strong leader had a brilliant year as captain which is unlikely to be outdone in the coming 12 months. The new academic year presents new drinking challenges for Andy. Can he outdo his drinking performance at Manchester? Can he drink any more at score socials? Should Derek be worried of his drinking records? Only time will tell. All that we do know is that he will be stocking up on his little pills that allow his extraordinary alcoholic feats.

Imo Ainsworth- Social Secretary
The new fastest runner in the club, Imo was counting down the days until Claire Hallissey left us. She now claims the title by default and is very worried about any fast freshers ready to dismount her from her usurped throne.

Hannah Pollak - Social Secretary
Quiet and reserved, the position of Social Secretary could prove to be a major challenge for this woman of few words. She manages to find solace in her running and has proved a key member of the team, using the runs as a chance to try to be sociable.

Erica Golland- BUCS Organiser
After a season of battles with injury, Erica has come through stronger and is ready for a good year ahead. With a strong interest in knitting and baking cakes she is the subjugated woman for every true lad. She'll never leave the kitchen except to give you your sandwich.

Kat Coyte - Freshers Rep
Kat has steadily improved over the last year and in this time has become a key member of the cross country squad. She has taken up the newly created role of freshers rep to encourage a wider range of participation in the future. Someone to look out for if you're new.

Mike Grocott - Secretary
A brave man accepting the challenging role of the new combined webmaster & secretary. Some said this was too much, but only time will tell. Well known for his strong views on the common agricultural policy and for being a "posh boy from Gloucester who knows nothing about farming". He has been known to finish whole races, and his greatest running accomplishment to date is attending training twice in just one week.

Chris Dodd - Treasurer
Chris has been a competitive runner this last year with performances coming through strongly showing his dedication training. But it's been off the field where he's really been generating shockwaves with a slowly budding Romeo and Juliet style romance with a fellow club member, becoming the subject of gossip for many a long conversation.
