The module aims to generate a financial awareness in order to influence the delegates' decision-making processes, proposals and information analysis. It will also enable them to understand and use the language of accountancy. On completion of the module delegates should be able to understand how: Budgets are formulated and used as a basis for performance improvement; Capital investment decisions are made; Accountants view areas such as purchasing, stock control, credit control and pricing policy; To analyse primary accounts; Costing procedures are developed.
