Description including Unit Aims

The module is intended as an introduction to the purpose and process of flight testing. It is designed for engineers and managers in the aerospace industry and others who are involved in or require an appreciation of the European flight test process. On completion of the module and assignment work, delegates will be able to: appreciate the need for flight testing of new and modified aircraft; appreciate the broad test principles and methodologies for flight dynamics, avionic systems, environmental aspects and weapons; develop a flight test plan and risk assessment.
