The academic session is spent at a Continental European Higher Education Institution, taking a range of aeronautical engineering and related studies. These are arranged by the Department on an individual basis but must cover a reasonable proportion (60%+) of topics in the three Bristol third year core units AENG 31100, 31200 and 31300, and in particular must be such that Advanced Aeronautical Engineering (AENG 41000) can be taken in the fourth year back at Bristol. A Research Project (AENG 43800) must then also be undertaken if not completed during this year abroad.
