This is largely a student directed unit with supervisor support and introductory seminar. The activity centres around a review of literature on a chosen technical subject relating to his/her research project.
Successful students will be able to: develop a research theme and analyse current literature ; identify and access appropriate library and electronic information; plan and produce a report to guidelines; have established the basis for their research proposal unit and individual research project unit.
There are no lectures associated with this unit. Students have regular scheduled meetings with their research project supervisor.
