Description including Unit Aims

The unit provides an overview of criminological theory, covering the principal ideas in a selected range of theoretical approaches, and an understanding of social, political and ideological contexts which have influenced their development. The policy impacts are explored in the context of the UK and, to a lesser extent, the US.
