Students will have carried out smaller-scale independent supervised research projects for other units and should now have the opportunity for further independent research in the field of Deaf Studies. Following tuition in further research skills, covering requirements of research questions, ethical and rigorous data-collection, data analysis and interpretation within a specific theoretical framework, students will prepare a dissertation of up to 10,000 words on an approved topic of their choice.
