This unit is designed for non-native speakers of English at advanced and proficiency levels who wish to develop their English language skills for general and academic purposes. There are two broad strands: Language Development, which involves study of the grammatical choices native speakers make in many contexts and the way lexis is organised through collocation and idiom, and Discourse Analysis, which involves the study of of spoken and written texts.
