A 60 credit point unit - a project-based dissertation of up to 15,000 words. A choice of dissertation subject areas is provided and students choose their specific topic from one of these broader areas. Many of the dissertations are literature-based and students are expected to acquire and use literature search skills using a range of electronic and traditional sources.

Supervision from an allocated dissertation supervisor - plus a research methods course to assist with technics to be used in the production of the work. A helpdesk is available to students on a drop-in basis.
