This module covers the promotion and maintenance of oral health for children. The student shall have an understanding of the general growth and development of the child and the recognition, preventive treatment and operative management of the common disease processes. It will encompass operative techniques permitted to be undertaken by the dental hygienist/therapist in their role in liaison with other members of the dental team.
